The exhibition will take place in the well-known Miami Design District on December 6-9, 2012. In those days the city artistic scene is on fire mainly because of the Art Basel, one of the most important art fairs in the world. This means that a lot of people and art lovers will be there, walking through galleries and looking for the most interesting arts news.
For this reason we have decided to organize a photo contest and realize a great exhibition with the 15 winning ones. It will be a great opportunity to show the talent of our photographers as well as to widespread our project. And it will be a great opportunity for you. Don’t miss it.
HOW TO PARTECIPATE
The Photo Contest starts at 12,01 am on October 10, 2012. Submission deadline is at 12,00 pm on November 5, 2012.
Create an account within our artistic community, upload your best photos and submit 5 of them to our Miami photo contest.
You must be at least 18 years old and have an account within our community to take part to the Miami photo contest. We also kindly recommend you to read our Terms & Conditions before joining the Miami photo contest.
The price consists in exhibiting your photo in the spectacular scene of Miami Design District during the Art Basel, one of the most important arts events in the world. Thousands of people are expected to visit our gallery because of its position in the Design District official circuit. And we will promote the event not only in the city of Miami but also in our social media (Museum, Facebook fan page) and external media channels, such as magazine and photography blogs. This means you and your photo(s) will gain a lot of visibility.
A part from visibility, you will also have the opportunity to make good money. The winning photo(s) indeed will be printed and framed in one single copy and will be out for sale at a price decided by the author. In case they will be sold, the author will earn 70% on the net profit (equal to selling price minus printing and framing costs).
JUDGES AND SELECTION CRITERION
The contest jury is composed of our photo editors and museum curators World Press Photo 2012 winner Alejandro Kirchuk, Rolling Stones Magazine photographer and art director Matias Altbach and La Nacion photojournalist, photo editor and cinematographer Ignacio Coló.
Every kind of photography is welcomed to join the contest. There is no specific category and the selection criterion is only and purely photographic. Judges will award the quality of the photos. This means that you can potentially win and exhibit in Miami with more than one photo.
